Meet the Owner

Sarah Ajamoughli

Owner | Sit & Staycations
Hello! My name is Sarah Ajamoughli, and I am the owner of Sit & Staycations, LLC. I started pet sitting professionally in January 2021 and have made it a goal to provide the best care and companionship by enlisting the help of my mentors at Clickstart Dog Training Academy and educating myself in safe, humane practices.

My team and I believe in stress-free, fear-free lives for your pets. Our in-home dog sitting service allows you to relax at work or on your vacation knowing that your pets are safe and comfortable as well as receiving the most personal care unique to their routine.

We are insured and bonded with Business Insurers of the Carolinas. I am an active member of Pet Sitters International and hold a Professional Pet Sitter certification through the organization that requires yearly CE's to be completed. I have obtained a Fear Free Pet Sitter Certification through Fear Free Pets to further my passion for enriching the lives of pets and educating humans on emotionally sound care.

Valerie Ashtiani

Dog walks, away visits
Val has been a highly valued team member since January 2023. Her passion for pets led her to acquire a dog training certification in 2007 with the Animal Behavior College (ABC). With a comforting presence and serene demeanor, Val delivers compassionate care that reflects her expertise and distinctive abilities. She is a proud dog mom to her Frenchies Joko, Young Ma, Sansa (pictured), and Cookie Monster. In her free time, Val enjoys dancing, breathwork, and sound baths.

Zaidy Hernandez

Dog walks, away visits, sleepover stays
Zaidy joined out team in July 2023. She is a Fear Free Certified pet sitter and CPR/First Aid certified, bringing both empathy and safety to her role. She approaches her job with the same level of dedication and care she would expect for her own pets, which include Dipsy, her sassy pup, Gallop, her feline friend, and Squishface, the adorable mini lop bunny. In addition to her role as a pet sitter, Zaidy also works as an emergency vet tech, further enhancing her ability to provide expert care for animals. Zaidy's deep love for animals, combined with her professional qualifications, ensures that our furry clients receive the best care and attention, making her an invaluable asset to our team.

Roma

"Train & Stay" in home board & trains
Roma is a true animal lover and a multi-certified professional dog trainer. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) with the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, a Fear Free Certified Professional (FFCP) with Fear Free Pets, and a Certified Trick Dog Instructor (CTDI) with Do More With Your Dog. She has been working with dogs professionally for 7 years and has been a trainer with Clickstart Dog Training Academy for 4 years. She absolutely adores her dog Clark who’s a Chow Chow/Akita mix. He is quite talented and has his CGC, CGCA, CGCU, and TKA titles through American Kennel Club.

Barb

A friend to any pet that she meets, Barb provides walks and away visits to our clients when she is not caring for her Blue Heeler Baby Blue (pictured), Yorkies Lucy, Ethel, & Ricky and Cockatiels Sunny & Sammy. Barb appreciates the uniqueness in every pet and can implement emotionally sound practices because of the experience and knowledge she has gained from helping her fearful dog Blue face each day with courage. Barb has provided excellent care with us since January 2022.

Jayme

Administration, sleepover stays
As one of the original team members, Jayme has provided fantastic care to our amazing clients since October 2021. She truly takes the time and attention to observe and learn each pet's personality and quirks in order to provide the most exceptional experience and abundance of care on every visit. Whether your pet has special needs, or just needs extra love, patience and kindness, Jayme is at your service. When you reach out to book, or need further information, you just may get her friendly voice on the line.

Annette

Annette has been providing outstanding care for our clients since the spring of 2022 with drop-in visits, walks, and overnight stays. She gained her abundance of knowledge as a pet care professional working as a local vet tech for 10 years before going back to school to pursue an education in nursing. She is the proud parent of Atlas (GSD & Cattle Dog mix) and Moco (English Bulldog) and brings the same loving spirit she has for her pets to every visit.
Diana Mendoza

As an enthusiastic member of the Sit & Staycations team, Diana brings a fresh perspective from her budding journey in the canine behavior field. Though she has only been with us since March 2024, her passion for pet care shines through her work as she demonstrates her love for all animals while gaining valuable professional experience. Diana is the proud parent of Jabari, a spunky Belgian Malinois, and her dedication to his well-being mirrors the affection and commitment she offers to every pet she cares for. In her free time, Diana enjoys long-distance running, creating art, practicing mixed martial arts, and reading books. Diana is a Certified Professional Pet Sitter, & Pet CPR/First Aid Certified.

Maya is an experienced and compassionate pet sitter with several years of animal welfare experience, for many of which, she specialized in enrichment. She has been providing exceptional pet sitting and dog walking services with Sit & Staycations since March 2024, catering to all breeds but especially favoring large breed dogs. Maya shares her home with her senior shepsky, Kai, and two guinea pigs, Skunk and Tofu. Maya practices force-free handling techniques with all her clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Maya is a Certified Professional Pet Sitter, & Pet CPR/First Aid Certified.
Violet Sanchez

Violet's love for animals goes back to her childhood, where her intuitive nature allowed her to understand pets on a deeper level. Ten years ago, a friend's request to care for their home and pets sparked Violet's journey into pet sitting. Violet has been a treasure to the Sit & Staycations team since March 2024 and is a Certified Professional Pet Sitter, Pet CPR/First Aid Certified, and has shadowed ClickStart Dog Academy's Reactive Rover Recovery class. Adaptive in her pet-care services - Violet provides a personalized emotional and physical support system to our clients. She often develops special bonds with our furry clients - as she cares for them so wholeheartedly. Alongside her professional pet sitting skills, Violet is a mixed media artist and chef in training, with a genuine passion for travel, communication, and an active lifestyle.

Christine joined the Sit & Staycations team in June 2024 as a part-time member. She brings her vibrant personality and a deep love for all animals, especially sea turtles. Her grand-dog Callie holds a special place in her heart. Throughout her life, Christine has always had a canine companion and deeply understands their needs. With a professional background in IT and management, she brings a strong work ethic to the team. In her free time, Christine enjoys volunteering for women in need, visiting the dog park with Callie, binge-watching movies and shows, and spending quality time with loved ones. She is a Certified Professional Pet Sitter and Pet CPR/First Aid Certified.

Eli joined the Sit & Staycations team in June 2024 and quickly became an invaluable part of the team. She adores all pets, finding them to be perfect companions—full of personality, love, and joy. Growing up with dogs, Eli developed a keen sense for understanding their subtle cues. Before joining the team, Eli spent three years as a trusted pet sitter in her neighborhood and volunteered at her local petting zoo. At home, she's the proud pet parent of Callie, her Jindo-Shiba Inu, and Honey, her American Shorthair cat. Beyond pets, Eli loves 2D animation, storytelling, and cosmetology. She is a Certified Professional Pet Sitter, Pet CPR/First Aid Certified, and trained with ClickStart Dog Academy's Reactive Rover Recovery class.
