I interviewed several wonderful and recommended dog walkers and dog sitters. Unfortunately, my dog did not click with them. I was so relieved when my pup and I first met Sarah, as there was an instant connection. My dog LOVES the humans with Sit and Staycations. Finding them has allowed me to get back to the travel and longer days away from home that I love.
Sarah has quickly become an integral part of our family. Our Australian Cattle Dog, Benji, has trust issues with new people, especially those entering our house. Shortly after rescuing Beni, we didn’t know how we would ever make a vacation work.
Sarah went above and beyond, working with our trainer to build trust with Benji in preparation of the first overnight stay at our place. Since then, they’ve have become the bestest of friends and we get the most amazing updates about what she and Benji are up to while we are away. It gives us complete sound of mind knowing that Benji is getting the fulfillment, care, and attention he needs when we are away.
Even though I work from home, Sarah still comes by to take Benji on walks or little adventures as a fun deviation from his usual day and he’s always so excited to see her. We couldn’t have found a better dog sitter and overall buddy for our pup and we can’t thank her enough for all of the work she has put in.
Sit and Staycations went above and beyond to ensure our cats were well taken care of while we were away. They spent time playing with our cats and brushing them, made sure they always had clean water and food, and kept an eye on our senior cat to make sure his medical issues stayed under control. They also sent daily updates and pictures, which put us at ease. They were super professional and competent and I would absolutely hire them to pet sit for us again. It was a massive relief to know we had someone we can count on.

I would honestly be lost without Sarah. I feel so at ease knowing that my dog is in good hands when she comes over. And my dog feels the same! I’ll tell him, “Sarah’s coming over later today,” and he jumps and gets excited.
Sarah always sends detailed updates and pictures, asks questions, and is truly there for my dog’s needs. If he wants to sit in the sun for a bit during his walk, Sarah will sit down and let him bask in the sun and help bring him some joy and truly help meet his needs.
Last year I went away for a weekend and Sarah stayed over with my dog. I was so nervous leaving him, but with Sarah’s frequent updates and videos, I was able to relax and enjoy my trip knowing he was safe and comfortable at home.
